lyrics
If i said i felt it all
well i can feel it all again
if i said i did no harm
then i can't blame it on a friend
there's my new face its on the wall
the mirror image i'll ignore
as i drift with final thought
well life's so stupid after all
Breathing holes into my lungs
as i lay dreaming I'm no one
a certain feelings holding here
is someone watching over me
beat my head through days of daze
as somethings screamin' in my face
bended knees, another dream
well all the feelings gone from me
Oh mumma i'm so strong
but i lay broken in my home
Oh mumma can i hold
will you remember, if i call
Oh mumma how can i roam?
when i've been lead to feel it all
Oh mumma in my own
well i've been hoping i won't go.
There is something about Australian 'indie' pop that is clearly unique and second to none when at it's best. Drawing on a long and proud history arguably beginning in the post-punk era of the late 70's influences such as The Go Betweens and early Triffids can be heard. There's also a deliberative nod to the Dunedin Sound of bands such as The Clean and The Chills. It's unassuming, jangly guitar with shared male & female vocals. Nostro

Primo! feel like your friend holding your hair out of the toilet so you can be sick: life is what it is but you have friends and you'll be okay. This is more than a record (or cassette). It's a friend. Top drawer! Polly Jean Smith
